JOHN OLIVER LEWIS

Bio

Originally from Wisconsin, John Oliver Lewis currently lives and works in Dallas, Texas. His work, most recently featured in the prestigious Amarillo Biennial 600 - CLAY at the Amarillo Museum of Art, has also been exhibited locally in Introductions North at the Center for Visual Arts in Denton, TX as well as Float Bloat Burst at 500X Gallery and Summer Breeze Makes Me Feel Fine at good good things, both in Dallas.

Whether addressing sculpture, works on paper or installation, Lewis’ whimsical yet sophisticated lines and shapes float lyrically across the various material boundaries of his work. His vocabulary of bubble-gum, blob-like forms, saturated color and elegantly composed lines connect the many facets of his vast body of work.
