Statement

My new body of work is a reflection and exploration of the Ugandan cultural arts that I have been researching for the past few years. As an artist, I continue to explore the similarities and dissimilarities of the materials, techniques, and motivations between myself and the Ugandan artisans I work with. I seek to better understand myself as an artist by allowing these two areas of my life to become cohesive.
