EXPO 2009
500X Gallery, Texas's oldest artist-run space, presents EXPO 2009, one of North Texas's most anticipated annual juried competitions. The exhibition, juried by Gavin Morrison, is a survey of contemporary art including drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and video by Texas artists. EXPO 2009 features works by:

About the Juror
Gavin Morrison is curator of the Fort Worth Contemporary Art Gallery, an auxiliary gallery of Texas Christian University. He is also a director of Atopia Projects, www.atopiaprojects.org, a curatorial and publishing initiative whose projects include the exhibition Lifting, and the publications Shotgun Wedding (2007) and HOUSTON MIES JOHNSTON (2007). Morrison has worked for the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and is also a freelance writer. He recently edited the book The Melancholy Thistle and other Works,(2007) and co–authored the book The Slender Margin (2008) with Kiyoshi Okutsu and Andrew Sneddon.
