Haley Cook, they/them
Haley is a mixed media sculpture, occasional performance artist, and zine creator whose work is a playful exploration of their own queer identity in a society that actively seeks to constrain people. Issues Haley often explores are body dysmporphia, gender dysphoria, and the negative effects of Christianity on our society. They often use bright colors, recycled fabrics, found objects, and even their own and other people’s hair with traditional methods to approach these difficult issues.
Haley’s work is inspired by community organization, DIY, “outsider” art, and a healthy disdain for professionalism.
